CHURCH #8 of 8

KEY VERSE: And the gospel must first be published among all nations. (Mark 13:10 – KJV)

PRAYER: HEAVENLY FATHER, we thank you for the Church as an institution in society. We realize that our purpose is to publish (proclaim) the Good News to all nationalities. For over 200 years, this nation has sent missionaries to foreign lands to proclaim your Word. Now, missionaries are being sent to America from foreign lands to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May the church fulfill its mission by proclaiming the Gospel through the avenues of the media (television, radio, CDs, DVDs, social media…), printed press, street evangelism, prison ministry, personal evangelism, etc. As a result, we will hasten the Second Coming of your Son, Jesus Christ. Truly, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30). We pray in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ.

Amen

CHURCH #7 of 8

KEY VERSE:     By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love (agape) one to another.  (John 13:35 – KJV)
PRAYER: The Church of America is under scrutiny, bless us Lord to be salt and light for this generation (Matthew 5:13-16). Meandering through life, many individuals see no solutions for the problems they encounter. We want to be found obedient to Your WORD. All mankind will see the only indicator that we truly have (Christian Discipline), by demonstrating the highest form of love, agape one to another. This form of love, which gives and never expects anything in return, is a mark of all true believers. Help us to be true believers. This we pray in the matchless name of Jesus.
Amen

CHURCH #6 of 8

KEY VERSE:     Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.  (Matthew 17:21 – KJV)

PRAYER:     In a society where we face unprecedented challenges, we look to YOU Lord Jesus as our Source of Direction.  Individuals from all walks of life face a myriad of problems that can only be solved by YOU.  There exists problems today that are too vast for the government, family, economy, or education to handle.  Despite this, help believers to be prepared to face the challenges of this generation:  homelessness, chemical dependency, the dissolution of marriage, sexual promiscuity, abortion, obesity, youth rebellion, to name a few.  Help us to prepare ourselves so that we will not be “powerless disciples” attempting to come up with solutions, but be found keeping the disciplines of prayer and fasting.  We pray in Jesus’ Name.

Amen

CHURCH #5 of 8

KEY VERSE:     But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (Acts 1:8 – KJV)

PRAYER:     HEAVENLY FATHER, every believer has not been called to preach or teach the Good News of Jesus Christ, we all have been mandated to witness of YOUR Love.  Upon being “infused with power,” we are to become witnesses, i.e., martyrs, for the sake of the Gospel.  Our  witness first begins in Jerusalem (home).  It then extends to Judea (family, friends, neighbors).  Our witness then reaches into Samaria (our enemies).  Last but not least, we are to be witnesses unto the uttermost part of the earth (all the world).  Lord, assist All Believers in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Amen

SEPTEMBER 5, 2013

CHURCH #4 of 8

KEY VERSE:     Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  (Matthew 28:19 & 20)

PRAYER:     LORD, after we have proclaimed the Good News of Jesus Christ to a dying world, help us to make disciples of those who have been converted.  Not only should we proclaim the Good News to the lost, but we are mandated to teach–discipline believers.  Although sometimes neglected, teaching is a critical component of the “Great Commission.”  We are not able to live as ‘overcomers’ without proper instruction or teaching.  Jesus, give us strategies for effective 21st Century Ministry.  Our commitment to this task will enable us to teach others who will in turn teach others.  These blessings we pray, in Jesus’ name.

Amen

SEPTEMBER 4, 2013

CHURCH #3 of 8

KEY VERSE:      And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  (Mark 16:15)

PRAYER:     During the GREAT COMMISSION, YOU gave us the mandate to ‘GO!’  The first two letters of the word GOSPEL is g-o.  Lord, help ministers come to understand they share the same pulpit: “The World.”  A true realization of this mandate will eliminate rivalry and competition among clergy.  Our ministry is not confined to a single town, city, county, state or nation–the proclamation of the gospel is global.  Help us to overcome racial and ethnic prejudices so we will reach out with the love of God to people who don’t look like us, dress like us, sound like us, or even smell like us.  Our primary objective is the “salvation of the soul” (Hebrews 10:39).  In the matchless name of Jesus Christ,

Amen

CHURCH #2 OF 8

KEY VERSE:     For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.  (I Corinthians 12:13)

PRAYER:     ETERNAL GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, we are grateful for the birthing of the Church on the Day of Pentecost.  Upon the inception of the Holy Spirit, on that memorable day, believers were baptized (immersed) into the church–The Body of Christ.  As a result of this baptism, racial and social barriers have been destroyed.  Christ’s purpose, through the Holy Ghost, tears down denominational barriers.  The ‘true’ Church of Jesus Christ is not segregated into “the White Church, the Black Church, the Hispanic Church, the Asian Church, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church…”  Help believers to understand that the Body of Christ is not fragmented.  Once we realize this, we will benefit from drinking of the waters of life (John 4:14; 7:37 & 38).  In Jesus’ name,

Amen

SEPTEMBER 2, 2013

CHURCH #1 of 8

KEY VERSE:     And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  (Matthew 16:18 – KJV)

PRAYER:     LORD GOD of heaven and earth, we pause today to express our thanks for the opportunity to live in a nation where the Freedom of Worship is expressed.  YOU blessed the architects of our country to draw this nation’s blueprints, which included principles that were Godly in nature.  Our emphasis on the Judeo-Christian Ethic influenced society at large, which in turn shaped our families, schools, economy and each level of government.

Bless the church to uphold that which is right and once again, be the conscience of this nation.  May we embrace the “Rock,” Christ Jesus, on which the church is built.  Truly, we are the ‘Ecclesia,’  the called out  Body of Christ.  Strengthen us to remain Salt and Light (Matthew 5:13-16) in this dark age.  As You promised, “the gates (power) of hell will not prevail against your church.”  WE stand shameless in Jesus’ Name.

Amen

EDUCATION #8 of 8

QUOTE:     “Keep the faith, baby!  Learn baby learn…then you can earn baby, earn.”  (Adam Clayton Powell)

PRAYER:     During and era where education is devalued, we are grateful to live in a nation where we have the opportunity to learn.  We thank YOU, Lord, for all who sacrificed that all Americans, regardless of race, ethnicity or social status, could receive a quality education.

Unfortunately, students have unprecedented challenges which can  possibly dissuade them from acquiring a quality education.  Despite the obstacles of violence, drugs, illicit sex, and peer pressure in our schools, we are persuaded that they will learn.  This investment in our future will assist us in reaching a plateau where we can “earn baby, earn.”  We pray these blessings in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ,

Amen

EDUCATION #7 of 8

QUOTE:     “One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings.  The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.”  (Carl Jung)

PRAYER:     GRACIOUS GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, we thank you for the Institution of Education.   Our formal educational process affords all Americans the choice of attending public, parochial, private school, or to be home-schooled.  We take this time to reflect on how school personnel–including superintendents, principals, teachers, teachers assistants (aids), school nurses, custodians, etc. have positively impacted our society.

To our dismay, society places greater value on entertainment and sports than education.  Help us to rightly prioritize our values and pray for those who are the builders of our nation: teachers.  In Jesus’ name,

Amen
